Just back this morning, and caught up on sleep before work. An amazing weekend so great to meet up with everyone again and meeting new members, to me anyway
Thanks to Neil, Nick and Jes for al their hard work putting
together
Also a huge thank you to Neil and Sally for their hospitality and Neil and Nick for their Syncro aftercare which got us home.
, and of course the use aidans syncro hospital which helped us get down there
Still yet to empty the van of all the long overdue collection of various syncro bits that were waiting for me.
Regards the event very enjoyable and tested our driving skills very well proving that within reason and with a little help from your friends you can get a hightop into places where few would imagine possibile, although quite scratchy but some lovely lanes and no major damage suffered by anyone.
I was one of the guilty few who didnt have working CBs I had the CB but no aeriel and wasnt connected in all the panic to get the van ready but will be prepared next time. I would say that I did miss the CB banter a lot and it adds another dimension to the whole laning experience so extremely recomended if you dont have one. I would say a quick briefing just to refresh people would be a good idea as sometimes we do forget and it gives everyone an idea of the day aswell.
It might be a good idea to grade of lanes/routes in colours like skiers do, the club in Ireland did it and made for a quick and easy visual reference for all concerned. This could also be done in terms of fluffyness aswell ?
As regards scratching paint I definately think that should be discussed in another thread which I may start
In summary a great event and thanks again to all concerned for having us and in the words of Arnie I'll be back
vids and pics to follow!
