Another great SP, stopped the three nights to make the most of such a great camping site :)
It was lovely to meet so many new people and see so many vans, it made for a great line up photo!
Looking forward to catching up with some of you next weekend and hoping this rain stops for then!
I have posted up under the 'Summer Lights' heading with event results.
Big thank you to Jenny and Clive and all those that make it happen, hope you are all having a great 'in between' break and dodging the showers.

A massive thanks to all the organisers, in particular Clive for spending all day Saturday looking after us newbies and spreading his knowledge. A big thank you also to Jason for getting me out of the mud hole and for leading me astray down unimaginable slopes! :ok
you´re welcome :ok

Yep, what a great weekend. I will never get board of that place and although thrashing the van a round a little is great fun, especially when finding any weak points on the van before this summers trip, it's the venue and people that make it for me. Just getting up on that hillside chilling out will always hold fond memories so much so that Isaac and I had to stay an extended day.

Highlights for me were...

Loads of new people to talk with and get to know.
Getting to know some people I had met before a bit better.
The mud hole at various times over the weekend.
Getting to grips with winching allot more and self recovery practice with it.
Finding even more places that I didn't even know about at the venue.

After getting home late yesterday I crunched out a quick video before I went to bed and whacked it on Youtube but am holding off until I make a full video of the weekend after Nic makes his so I can borrow some of his stuff to E D I T into mine if he doesn't mind as I didn't get much off roading stuff in. I was testing out some new filming gear that I bought via CVC for our summer trip so didn't want to get to much in the way of the off roading stuff with that so only really used it when chilling out in some nice places around the venue.

Here it is for anyone who is interested, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IXtsUy ... tvvvnpwx04" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; SP is soooooo much more than just the off roading and an amazing place to be for sure.

We all had a lovely time. Thank you.
Elvis's highlights were
Dragon island, winning his toy car in the raffle, playing with Gilbert the dog and getting to go in mittys van.
We are all looking forward to the next time we see you all.

Sorry Jed, only just had chance to E D I T and upload my video. May be too late, but feel free to borrow away or message me any clips you want.

Thanks again for an excellent weekend everyone. We didn't film as much this year, but here's our summary of the weekend. Enjoy!

I finally got round to editing down a weekend of footage, so here's my effort:

https://youtu.be/QGL14nkYtEo" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Unfortunately I forgot my GoPro mounts so had to mount it on the side window - the aerial is in shot most of the time. Doh!

We're off touring Scotland for a couple of weeks today in our camper which thankfully passed it's MOT, so see you all at Overland!

:ok

Thanks to everyone who made SP what it was - another enjoyable year. We've been away for a while without internet connection hence the delay in this posting.

I have also been enjoying the Bara Brith I bought in the cake sale. Thanks to whoever baked that and may I have the recipe, please?

The weekend served as a good shakedown trip and exposed a few problems after the van has been in bits.

Engine misfire solved with new plugs.
Oil warning buzzer sorted by mending a broken sensor wire in the engine bay.
Kitchen water leak fixed by replacing the tap.
A lack of dipped beam on the way home was traced to a dodgy fuse and holder on my relief relay circuitry.

What all that meant was that the subsequent trip away with my wife went without any vehicle issues!
