I'd recommend signing up and giving the "Require syncro-driving induction" option a go. Last year's mendipidy meet was my first off road event, and the induction was brilliant, in a big grass field above the main off road area with lots of space. If it's the same as last year, you start as a passenger in Clive's van, then drive your own, and once you're happy with that, you can go into the off road bit and do as much or as little as you want, and quite often Clive jumps in to give pointers. Just driving to the end of the valley and back feels like an adventure the first time you do it :)

Otherwise, watching is always good fun, especially the trials course that's setup - someone more qualified will have to answer whether you need to sign up or not though I'm afraid.

That's a good suggestion - sign-up for the Saturday and pop down for the day. Event site is just south of West Harptree. You say you're 10 miles south of Bristol, so are in the vicinity for this as a day trip.

Hi Baz, still not come in, not in my Junk box either!

Could you PM me details. Are you doing the site driving on Saturday or not? You have already paid your membership, so if you are just camping on Saturday night it will be £12, or with Saturday's driving £37 in total. Let me know and I'll email you payment details.

Thanks
Jenny

As its been a little wet I still dont know if to put the mud tyres on, just very noisy on the road there and back (total 200miles) if the AT's are enough for the quarry, should I just leave them on?
