Re: **Booking now open ** Mendipidy 2016 - Weekend of April 30th

I thought an outline of the weekend would be of assistance.
Fri arrive.
Campsite fire.
Sat early start to get to quarry for 10am kick-off. 15 min drive to quarry. Open site, lots to do without scratching, but can be as challenging/damaging as you make it. Some light hearted competition to test your driving skills in a non-damaging way. Picnic lunch on-site.
Campsite fire.
Sun later start. Green laning. Often narrow and can be scratchy. Some new lanes will be for tintops/pickups only due to height restrictions and tipping angles. No other damage anticipated. Picnic lunch or pub as each group see's fit.
Evening pub visit as required or another campsite fire.
Mon touring with a list of suggestions one can do. Nothing pre-arranged so you can make your mind up on the day and do what you wish. All within 40 mins drive from the campsite.
A visit to the same cider place as last year. Lots of character and well worth a visit for those who missed it last year. http://wilkinscider.com
North Somerset Show. http://www.nsas.org.uk/north-somerset-show
visit Helicopter Museum http://www.helicoptermuseum.co.uk Apparently the canteen here is rather good.
I was hoping to get a private visit to the Victorian steam driven pumping station at Blagdon Reservoir, but its closed all year for engineering works.
Can anyone bring a fire pit? Everyone to bring some firewood. No chainsaws please at the campsite.
There are lots of pubs within 5 mins drive, but none within walking distance this time.
Petrol station with good mini-market 5 mins drive away. Farm shop 1 mins drive away.
