Well.. I did suggest croatia in May.. I might be able to get some unofficial spectator spots for croatia trophy.. I will be going there in any case..
I can arrange some superb offroad routes to do from 5 to 8 days of offroading.. from tame to extreme trails.

Stupid question..... When is the 30 year landmark?
If the event was abroad, it would have to be in the summer holidays... I'd then combine it with the family holiday

The first Syncro's started appearing in Germany in February 1985.

The official press launch of the Syncro in the UK was not until Jan 1986. (It was actually launched in Scotland :) ).

The 2 UK press launch Syncros were; A 1.9 78 BHP Caravelle C (Reg- C343 PBD) & a 1.9 Panel (Reg - C511 DNH)

So that gives quite a wide scope for doing something Syncro'ish to celebrate 30 years of Syncro's.

We will be doing something @ Busfest 15 (& possibly also an event at our new Syncro play area we are developing for Summer 2015)

Sounds good, Would you be wanting a contingent of syncro owners from this club to help make a nice feature & generate more interest at Busfest for your customers? :idea :ok

Forrestry commission run a few events every year apparently. So perhaps they might be up for an organised event of forest trail driving too.. may even have a couple of spots to camp up.. could be a good promotinal event for them ...

I quite fancy the idea of driving out to Scandanavia via the Chunnel, up to Denmark and then island hopping to get across to Sweden. Tried to get some interest to do it for the last Scout World Jamboree in Kristiansand but it fell on deaf committee ears :-(
The Arctic Circle meet is on my bucket list but I reckon a reliable working Eber or Webasto must be an essential accessory. And a bucket load of cash!
