T25 Gear Knob Thread Size

Hi Does any body know what thread size is needed for the T25 Gear Knob ? I thought that is was M12 but, this is not correct. :shock:
I am making a custom Gear Knob, but am stumped at the thread size. :oops:

I can definitely say that my gear knob is NOT M12 nor is it M14. I would say that either the gear stick has been changed at some point or there is another non metric size. It is probably 1/2" BSF or similar. :(
