Around 27-28 mpg in a 1.9dg with a single solex instead of a pierburg at 55mph (occaisonally 29mpg if everything is in my favour).

Am hoping to get her gassed which, fingers crossed, should give around 45(ish) mpg.

32 - 33 general mix of driving. High top with 1.9.AAZ. Motorway use 60 -65 mph, otherwise Cornish lanes. Load doesn't seem to make much difference - but 70 mph does!

31 MPG overall. Pop top with AEF engine and original ABF gearbox. That's Devon lanes, motorway at 60mph, elsewhere driven hard, with no effort at economy. DH gearbox to come, the difference will be interesting.
1.9D (AEF) pop-top. Aaaaahhhhh........that's better.

Hello

I'm running a stock 90bhp 1.9tdi on a 3H gearbox with 225/55/18 tyres, a big high-top, and at 64 on the cruise control (3100 revs) I get about 32 mpg. I reckon getting that at 75/80 is really good! If I did 75/80 I reckon I'd be getting around 24, but then I'd probably have to buy a new engine if I do the London Edinburgh run! I'm looking into getting a 0.7 fifth gear from Aidan who's been really helpful, which should give me something comparable, but am worried my engine won't be strong enough to pull it up hills at certain speeds. Thanks for starting this post - very interesting

Same as my 1.6TD, only really use it for local trips though, possibly do more on a good run, performance seems really good, easly tackles hills :ok
