T25 pop top 1984

Post by Siobhan »

Hi

Could anyone recommend what type of heater I could use in my van? I have just had it renovated but doesn't have a heater. I was thinking of oil filled electric but I may only be able to use it if plugged into mains at a campsite? Is that right? Any idea of the size or power I need? 500W or 1500W????

Thanks
Siobhan

Hi Siobhan,
Dont mean to be rude, yet your posts' title gives no clue to your question. Just saying to make you aware why no replies. :D
Yes, an electric heater with a domestic three pin plug will require mains hook up.
If you only use campsites with hook up then a small 800w fan blowing warm/cold air will suffice. Get one with a thermostat. It will switch on and off as required. I place one on the floor between the front seats facing rear.
I dont use an oil filled one because they tend to be larger and take up more storage.
I never leave it on overnight though.
