Steering Wheel - how best to paint?
The next job for me is to improve my steering wheel look, its looking tired, has anyone any ideas on the best paint to use, was thinking of a mat black cellulose paint put on by brush, wasn't aiming to take the steering wheel off, anyone any ideas?

It's a 1984 van and I have just seen another thread with a long list of suggestions, I have just literally got hold of some heavy-duty wipes and wiped all around the wheel - wipes were black - don't think it's ever been done! Seems a lot better and will go back later to see if it's dried non-tacky!

That’s what I was going to suggest, I suspect they rarely get cleaned

Re: Steering Wheel - how best to paint?
I brought this subject up a while back as I suspect did others, I suffer with mine mainly in the warmer months when it gets a bit clammy (I mean the steering wheel) tried various options and have removed a lot of dirt i think or maybe remnants of the wheel itself, never seems to get properly clean as if the muck is ingrained within the material and keeps on resurfacing. I have looked at buying a leather cover that you stitch on yourself but unsure of the diameter/dimension to order on line. In meantime have been using hand sanitising wipes as recommended by another member.
