Putting a t25 on garage ramps

Hi All, sorry for the noob questions but i couldnt find exactly what i was looking for when searching the forum, im chasing a coolant leak from one of my heater pipes and where i work im lucky enough to have access to a 2 post lift similar to the below:

I have thus far resisted the urge to use it as the van is new to me so i dont fully know the 'state' of the van and im paranoid about lifting straight through the bottom of the van!, so i call to the club 80-90 collective, what are the strongest points to lift a t25, i was thinking these points below and il have some 'screwdriver time' before hand but if anyone has any experience, (apologies for using a rolled syncro... :| )

Garages I’ve been to have always lifted our van using the crossmembers just inboard of the front and rear jacking points, where you’ve marked. I believe this is also where VW recommends you support the vehicle.

The forward outriggers are only folded sheet steel channel section and not parallel to the floor...
If you doubt the state of your jacking points
1. get them investigated/repaired
2. repeat 1

Indeed, i agree, i feel there must be a reasonable alternative until this can be investigated, i have seen people use jackstands (with wood) on these outriggers? are they really that weak? ahhh dont know what to do now!

if the jacking points do go do they go where i would be able to see or above the jacking point? :run would like to get the old girl going again as shes stuck at work currently

Its possible to safely support the front of a T3 under the ends of the panel that carries the front suspension tie rods.
At the rear I would place big axle stands under the engine bar at its outer ends (if its a flat 4)

OK thanks for your responses, just to clarify my bus isnt quite a 'rot box' but ive heard stories of poorly done welding etc so i am just being careful! will go on the ramp at lunch il let you know how i get on

use the jacking points..

Bring it up slowly checking all round as you do it. If you see/hear anything crunching then best it happens on the ramp than on the motorway.

Thanks for the advice everyone!

Put some wood under the rear cross member and used the jacking points (slowly) she is solid, pleasantly surprised, a few bits that need addressing but thats van ownership!

....what wasn't nice to find is that the coolant leak i was tracing is right above the fuel tank! lets hope that has just developed or probably new tank time! will drop the tank on monday and see if i can see whats leaking
