Bond bugs were not around in 1969 they were first produced in 1970 :)

They started production in 1970, given the overlap of registration it may be thought of as 1969 in error. My mate loved his after he smashed up his leg in a m/c crash and couldn't get his leg over any more. :D

Doesn't anyone else think he might be talking about a type 1 ?

Bug = Beetle

If so it used to be 20W 50 mineral, if no one here has one currently then I'm sure VZi will have a long thread on it :D

OK, I read this first:

http://forum.club8090.co.uk/viewtopic.p ... 2#p8207782

Bond bug was 700/750cc, so a 1300 would have starship performance.......in a straight line.

Let's ask what colour it is. If it isn't orange we know what it is :wink:

The 13.00 was confusing, I assumed that it was that on the reg document. If 1300 had been writ large or even 1300cc it would have avoided confusion a tad. I used to kid my mate that he was riding in a lifeboat due to that orange.
Never saw that other post.
