Type Approval ?

Sorry if this has been asked before,i'm just about to start filling in my registration documents for the DVLA,my van is a 1987 LHD doka,i just want to know how i put it in my covering letter that my vehicle is exempt from type approval,i don't know how to word it,also,do i need to send an insurance certificate,i wasn't going to insure it until i got all the documents back from the DVLA,Thanks for any replies,Dave

Sorry.I should of moved it to "Any other matters"(it will not disappear off the page so quickly there) and left a short cut in general.Sorted it now.I blame this bliddy phone of mine :oops:

You won't need a coc or type approval as its over 10 yes old.
You must insure and mot it before you can register it as you must pay for road fund license at the same time.
Also have you done the nova registration fro hmrc?
Again this must be done before you can register it.

Thanks Jason,thanks for that about the type approval explanation,yeah its known on NOVA,its MOT'd too,going to insure it tomorrow,fingers crossed i've filled the paperwork in ok for the DVLA,cheers Dave
