propex flue retaining clips for underside of vehicle

Post by discipleofsketch »

I need to replace the flue pipes for my propex compact 1600. I can order the flue from propex themselves 26mm internal diameter, presumably 30mm external diameter, but i'm struggling to find a suitable type of clip to attach to the underside of the vehicle.

Any suggestions before I create something myself from a strip of steel or jubilee clip?

Un-lined stainless p clips, hundreds on ebay or if you can't find them buy the lined ones and remove it.

So that's what they are called! There was one of those disintegrating under the van when I removed the old flue, but I wasn't sure what they were called - cheers!

I make them out of scrap stainless k.itchen appliances like microwaves. Cheap and easy. I try to use stainless on most of the fittings for heaters as you end up wrecking something when removing things for servicing.
