A stupid but essential question.

Post by pinky »

Hi all Im hoping you can help me, I need to know what pressure to put in my tyres, I have looked at the little sticker on the door frame and came to the conclusion I need 33 front and 40 back, but my brother pointed out that I had different tyres. Can somebody help me please!

I don't really understand the technical mathematical way of figuring it out, I did search the forum but nothing solid came up.

I am going to be driving 600 miles in my camper next week, first big outing. 8)

I'd go with the middle one 185R14C as that's the closest on profile and type and load rating, see how it drives, and monitor the tyre wear, but check that the max pressure on the tyre is above what you are putting in obviously

I drive the same tyre size on my Syncro with 3.5 bar front / 3.8 bar rear (the sticker says 3.0 / 3.3 for 185/14)

Ever since I've had a van I've always inflated tyres 0.5 bar over the recommendation. Gives marked better tyre life, better fuel consumption, identical handling and minimally harder ride
