my wheels

Having split a tyre on my alloys over the winter, and having a regular flat on one of the back ones, we decided to replace wheels. After much debate went back to standard 14" which I refurbed and added brand new wheel hubs from german campers (which are much better than ones i bought on dubs on the beach a few years ago for my old van). To be honest I was really worried about changing the look of the van but they look fab.

Anyway I just cant believe the difference in the drive. The automatic gear box isnt working half so hard, the ride is fantastic and its doing loads better on the petrol. Had another trip out yesterday on my big fat bouncy tyres and just had to tell you all about it.

If anyone wants a set of alloys, let me know, they need a refurb and some attentions so I dont know how to price them. Pic as on one of my earlier posts and on my garage. Will ebay once i work out how to put a sale on. Usually i just buy.

Do I just measure diameter to let you know that? I did not buy them they came with the van. There are also spacers etc to go with.

Sorry for not replying earlier been on my hols.

wheels are 19.5 from rim to rim. Rial splitrims.

Tyres are 11 inch on back and 9 inch on front and there are spacers for two.

One tyre from front and back is good (sods law) one front is split (pothole) and the back one has good tread but a dink out of it on wall. My old man said i shouldnt have been driving on it but it was only a little dink and i went 500 miles on it!
I looked at the numbers on the tyres and there were 255/40ZR18, 255/352R18, 225/402R18. If thats helpful ad the fourth was different again so i gave up in disgust.

I actually asked last May when I got van if anyone could identify them. So there is a pic on the compooper somwhere of just the wheel! Can send email if anyone interested.
Like I said they are battered, they need work and if you can do that and make me an offer all well and good. I hasten to add I did not do the battering they came that way on van.

They are 18" alloys. And with thin elastic band tyres on a 2 ton van no wonder the ride felt like crap and that's not even going into having odd tyres all over the place
