I got alloys on my T25. I have been running around without a spare since put the alloys on last year. Time to get a spare!

My Alloys (have spacers) and the dimensions are 175/55/R16.

Would it be acceptable to have a standard T25 spare and try and match up the rolling radius.

Or try and match up another alloy. Though that would involve more machining in out the centre bore.

Just to add I have a LPG Tank in the spare well carrier!

A standard wheel only just fits in the carrier. I doubt an alloy would fit (unless a carat one??)

Why don't you go to a tyre size that's the same rolling radius as standard then you can use a standard steel as a spare?

I take it the alloys you have came with the wrong tyres that are fitted?

I have amended my original post. I have a LPG tank in my spare wheel carrier.

Any spare will be going in the back secured by belts!

I got Mille Miglias on my van and they are a bit rare not easy to get a spare!

All I am looking for is a spare to get me somewhere to a garage. In case something happens. Not looking for dead replacement.

A standard T25 spare would be 8.4% different to the tyres you have on

Though if I jig around with the spare tyre profile should be able to match the rolling raduis to within few mm couldn't I?

why have you fitted such a skinny low profile tyre Nesty?
A closer tyre would be a 205/60 X 16

it's not only the rolling radius that's important. What's the load rating of the tyres?
The load rating in that size I found with a very quick search was 80

You do know that 95 is probably as low as you should go and ideally you want 97 and above.

Commercial tyres on the standard steels are about 102 load rated and on the standard alloys I think it was 97.

Use the tyre calculator at http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/VehicleSpec ... ltwhls.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; to see what tyre ratio is the nearest to the tyres on our alloys (175/70/14C) but if the load rating of the tyres on your alloys is only 80 then the spare is the last thing you need to sort.

Are your alloys strong enough to use on a T25? I may be rambling like a moaning git but it's better to be safe
