Re: refurbing alloys
I did mine using a disc sander, a triangular sander and a dremel.
Then finish them with a couple of coats of etch primer and Satan black (rattle cans).
I quite pleased with them.
I was quoted between 200 - 280 € for them blasted and the powder coated ( which I don't think is suitable for alloy wheels).

Re: refurbing alloys
get one done by a pro then you can see what they do...and copy it
more details needed though like condition are they cast, billet, mags, coated or painted.
you need some proper equipment to get kerbies out, not just a bit of sandpaper
nice job titus .. was it enamel paint?
I had mine sand blasted then painted, seemed easier

No Kev it's acrylic paint, it's just to make them look better than they were.
I'm not sure about the black if I don't like I'll get them repainted when the bus gets resprayed in May.
Then I'll probably go colour matched to the body and done in 2-pack

Then it's 2-pack for my wheels in May.
Are your rims taper or radius seats for the nuts, mine appear to be radius.
Also it looks like the rears will fit without a spacer - your thoughts.
The original studs are long enough as the ML rims have the same web thickness as the Carat rims (10mm)
The fronts definitely need a spacer as they clash with the suspension.

radiused too
I changed all the studs for longer (I never checked that ...bugger!!)
yep they do fit but I decided to keep the stance at the rear... I even thought of going wider..say another 20 mm

Has anyone used these peeps? £20 a wheel seems too good to be true. http://www.citypowdercoating.co.uk/

I've been thinking about going out to 20mm per wheel but the cost of "legal" spacers that size is high over here.
I've got four 10mm spacers but they are not truly legit if the tester asks for the paperwork I will have problems.
I did contemplate just buying one axle of 20mm spacers and doubling up the 10mm spacers on the other axle - I'm not sure if that's a wise solution though.
