Just a bit of confirmation please

Post by dubdogs »

Hello

Looking at some alloys advertised as Merc ML and been reading the wiki pages and I think they should be ok with spacers, but not 100% convinced I've got it right.

The wheels are 8J*17H2ET52
They're fitted with 255/60/17 tyres
Prior to the 8J* is RONAL0944 (not sure if this is relevant)

With the 17" wheel and the tyres, does this make the diameter too large? :?

Grateful if someone could point me in the right direction! Thanks
:ok

http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/VehicleSpec ... ltwhls.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

At the bottom is a calculator for wheel dimensions. Top line is standard, just fill in the bottom with your tyre size

It shows the tyres you list above are 12.84% larger than standard. PLay with it until you get the % figure as near to 0 as you can

It's not just the ET you have to watch but for the wheel fouling on the front suspension and rear trailing arms.

If they are ET52 then you'll need at least 15 mm spacers.
