Wheels drum brake issue

Post by Lio »

Hello
I just put the 16 inches alternative to Mefro from Brickwerks on my T3 2WD.
But the rear wheel can be fitted properly due to the 2 screws holding the drums.
Has anybody faced the same issue and how was it sorted out ? Brickwerks does not mention this issue...

From the Wiki here...
NB. Warning... When fitting alternative wheels at the rear, please note that unless they are recessed for the two small drum locating set screws, then they will need to be removed so the wheel can be pulled up flush and flat to the drum surface.
Don't forget to read the disclaimer...

It's quite common to find those screws have been removed on vans.

Ha ! So simple, thanks a lot.
Maybe I will go for a 5-6mm  spacer anyhow on the long run.
