Tyre inflators

Post by Jeff J »

My Ring tyre inflator has started to struggle to inflate the rears up to 45 psi.
Any recommendations for a replacement as it has not had that much use over several years so a bit dubious about getting another Ring one.

Thanks but I've never had a problem with the voltage dropping in the past, it runs OK just seems to run on & on ( not slowing down) without getting up to the pressure that it has been set to. I suspect that the piston or other internals are starting to wear, rather than the supply. It works OK with lower pressures.

I use the air hawk pro cordless but it has a adapter to plug into the cigarette lighter my son bought it for me but I think its cheaper just to repair the tyre. None of these tire inflators are made to last

I use this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01L9WSTEG/

Worked well so far, although it's not the fastest device in the world.  It is small, though.  Nice & compact.

I bought my last one from LIDL (Ultimate speed compressor), does the trick, reasonably priced, although it does get warm.  They do reintroduce items from time to time.
