Good question, when i bought mine it was the other way around with the larger ones at the back, it may affect the accuracy of the speedo with the way you have them fitted att but don't quote me, there was a recent post I vaguely remember which throws more light on this subject, have a search.

I think a good place to start would be ‘why would you want to?’ What is your thought process behind doing it?

I'll try to offer an explanation of sorts. It was about spending the least money but getting a good set all round. At present I have two good 185 tyres on the front and one good and one worn 195 on the back.Normally when I buy tyres I have the new ones on the front and put the front ones on the back, hence the question ,is it OK to have 195s on the front. However I think I will bite the bullet, buy 2 185s and have 185s all round and use my one good 195 as the spare which should be ok? The tyre depot i go to can get 195 contis for £80 a piece but the 185s
£110, maybe I will shop around what are you guys paying for mid or good quality 185 14 c? Hope you can pick the bones out of that, cheers

Just read a few tyre manufacturer sites and seems the consensus is to put new tyres on the back rather than the front
kwickfit link says the same https://www.kwik-fit.com/tyres/informat ... e-rotation
Personally I didn’t know this, so every day is a school day :D
