I've some of the vancafe ones from a few years ago. One came off and got crunched.
Interestingly though, for the fronts, you can use the top of an aerosol. Fits great and clips onto the greasecap lip, and available in lots of colours 😁

Now that's what I like, a bit of ingenuity. You'll be fine when the World ends

Filthy and Merc steels not mefro but these are my home brew centre caps Image

VW caddy caps drilled out and compomotive centres fitted.
Cast caps designed for 19mm head bolts but with Silicone wheel nut caps fitted then these just push on.

The better half thinks they are a little Tonka Toy ish but I like them.

Bit of glue & I should be able to make this work. Perhaps some strap on the inside too maybe.

Felt a bit like Clint Eastwood in Escape from Alcatraz, but I managed to fuse them together with the blow torch. Worked well. All done.

Alternative, found this on The Samba...

321601171A Mk1 Golf centre cap

2K0601169 Mk3 Caddy centre cap
  • Pilot hole
  • 76mm hole saw
  • Black silicon
  • Epoxy Resin
  • Drill a small pilot hole through the back of the 5 bolt caddy centre cap
  • Drill another hole the same size as the pilot drill on the hole saw
  • Turn the cap the right way up and cut the centre out with the hole saw
  • The golf cap will pop in now
  • Run the epoxy resin around bottom lip of Golf cap, leave for 15 minutes, then drop Caddy cap over the top and down. Hold firm using some contraption, until it sets.
