I got to thinking that my ride was getting a bit on the harsh side. So in spite of my tires showing hardly any tread wear I looked at my records and found to my horror that they were fitted way back in 2008. T'internet suggests that the rubber can harden after about five years so I lashed out on a new set.
Now I do recognize the Halo Effect but the old girl really does seem to drive a lot better now in terms of ride and noise.
We shall see how the new tires wear in due course.
