VW fitted wheels to T25's with ET of 39 and 30, so anywhere in between is OK without spacing in my book.sikaya wrote:2 of the alloys have got brand new 205/55/16 91 load rated tyres can I use these at mo?
As for the tyres, I would not use them, too small and too weak

Re: 16" alloy advice
7" wide and ET37 will need 5mm spacers at the front to clear the upper suspension arms.
Fit the same size to the rear to even things out....or 10mm to fill the arch out a bit more.
Longer front bolts and longer rear studs....it's a good idea to fit a stud conversion kit to the front when using spacers as it helps with fitting the wheel.
215/60/16's.
225/55/16's are also a good choice as they are available upto 99 load rating.
But.....shouldn't you really have asked(or done a search for) what's needed to fit them BEFORE buying them as cheap wheels can turn into expensive wheels very quickly when you factor in everything needed to fit them.....as in this case.

Thanks for advice .In an ideal world I wouldn't get carried away looking at "bargains" but heyho hindsight is a wonderful thing .I thought coz they was et37 somewhere near the standard offset they might fit without spacers .I'm gonna refurb them myself and they only cost £80. so they will need spacers then front and back 10 mm.

That's a very common mistake people make.....yes ET37 is near the standard steel wheel offset of ET39 but those steel wheels are only 5.5" wide, not 7" wide like in the case of your wheels.
As a result of the extra width it means the inner edge of the wheel is nearer the upper suspension arm so the offset needs to be lower to compensate for that.
The 6" wide Carat alloys are ET30 and that is is the ideal offset to aim for(give or take 2-3mm's) for wheels upto 7.5" wide.....8" wide alloys need to be around ET28 as they are very close to the upper suspension arm.
Good luck fitting the alloys but by the time you've refurbed them, bought the longer studs, bolts, spacers and new tyres they will stand you at around the £350 mark.....not such of a 'bargain' .
16" ET33 Mercedes Toliman alloys are a straight bolt on option that don't require spacers or longer rear studs.....and they really suit a T25.

Re: 16" alloy advice
I'm gonna go with 6mm spacers for those rims , coz I'm worried about opening the sliding door and it fowling on 10 mm spacers? (What u think?) Thanks for your advice/Input anyway I don't think I'll ever make any profit or bargain out of owning this t25 it's driven me mad at times ! But driving it along listening to it purring with De sun out is mazin it definitely has a charm.

Re: 16" alloy advice
10mm spacers on the rear will be perfectly ok and not cause any issues at all with the sliding door.
