PENTA A.M.G. 16" 7.5J 5X112 ET42

Post by di&tony »

Hi all, can somebody please tell me if these alloys can be fitted to a t25 hightop with standard suspension. I have looked on wiki and the fitting charts and it says ok on rears but no chance on fronts (or maybe spacers needed)? Also what size of tyre would be needed to make this modification safe if at all possible? I understand I may have to bore out the bolt holes to 14mm. Thankyou Dianne.

Longer front studs and longer rear studs.
10mm...possibly 15mm spacers front and rear.

225/55/16 or 215/60/16 tyres.
There's no 'r' in bought!

Before going and buying them make sure they are ET42....if it's the ones on ebay in Cheadle I think they've made a mistake and it should be ET24..not 42?

Oh and £299 is expensive if they require new tyres plus all the fitting hardware....it'll work at at over 500 quid!

Hi g60Steve. How long must the studs be ? What do the tyres need to be load rated at ? Can you recommend a particular brand as I want them to last. Thankyou again. Dianne. :ok

225/55/16's are available in 99 load rating which is more than adequate.
As for stud lengths...all depends on the thickness of the alloy and if they're taper or radius seated?

If they're ET24(which I think they are)and taper seated then there's a chance they could fit on without the need for longer rear studs or front bolts.

Best to do as much research BEFORE buying them....or it could turn out to be an expensive mistake!

^^^^^^^^^^^ mine in the previous post, are Ronal amg 7.5x16H2 et42' I needed 15mm spacers on the front, so did the same on the rear to keep the same, longer studs on rear, plus longer stud conversion on the front, then fitted these van rated tyres, to keep the rolling circumference the same as the original steels !
:ok

Tried to fit my et42 merc alloys which are 7.5 h2 by 16 and they made contact with the suspension on the ramps?!? Mine are from a w211 estate I think but look nice, be a shame to sell them :(

Can they fit the t25 or should I have tried to fit the wheel without it being jacked up on the ramps?!?

For et42 you'll need spacers - do a search and you'll find plenty of info
