1990 Autosleeper table

Post by VelmaVan261 »

Hi, I have recently bought a 1990 T25 Autosleeper pop-top. At first glance it all seemed like the original conversion, but that was because I knew very little about them. Frustratingly a steel rock n roll bed frame has been fitted, which is quite a bit further forward than the original back seat which means you can’t put the table leg in the post hole! Has anyone else had this problem and what solution did you come up with??

Hi

Although this is fairly expensive this leg could probably be easily retrofitted to the table and floor of the van

:ok jackE - that looks like a solution, thank you, I will look in to it! Cheaper than fitting a new rock n roll bed frame, or cutting a new hole in the floor for a new post hole!

Hi,
I use/bought a Fiamma table leg with 3 feet. You can then put the table where you want, even outside.

My camper came with the table leg slots opposite to traditional fitting.  Instead of having a hole in the floor and slotting the leg into it, this part was fitted to the table and the part that normally fits to the table was fixed to the floor, only hindrance is the part fitted to the floor sits proud so you do tend to trip on it occasionally until you get used to it.

Wow - that’s a novel solution. Was that done because the bed/seat is in the way of the floor socket?

It does not or did not obstruct anything just a bit of a trip hazard, previous owner may have fitted it this way to save cutting a big hole to house it.  I was considering buying another floor piece to fit to the table, but have since removed it from the floor and now when I need the table, I put it all together with the floor bit loose on the floor but the table secured to the side cupboards with a rotating bit of wood that keeps it all secure.
