Newbie looking at options, Devon or Viking?!

Post by matada34 »

Hello again,
Sorry for another question...
Ive hunted round a bit and feel the Viking would be more useable for kiddies than the autosleeper pop top.

Is the Devon a proper camper and not a conversion, what are the differences!? Devon roof isnt as wide as a viking?

Any pics or advice would be great!
Thanks again Matada

I have a Devon with a super Viking roof that I put on. In the Devon side elevating roof, I took off, you will sleep 1 adult or 2 kids comfortably. Ive reconfigured the Viking roof so I’ve now got 2 double beds up there. Sleeps comfortably 4. The original roof layout was really only for 3 bigger ones. Although (only one night) I got me and 5 kids up there. Dad had a Viking t2 when we were kids. Fab memories and plenty of space.

As said, I have a nearly original Devon and really like it. Just look out for those lemons. Good luck

Thanks for the information.
I’m heading towards the difficult search for a Viking!
Could I ask.... what’s the difference between and Viking and super Viking?

Thanks again Matada

Our super viking. You sleep across it rather than along the length of the van as the frame pushes out over the side of the van. Not the most attractive pop up but loads of room!

Ive still not bought a van, im on the fence!

I really like the Komet conversion, it seems a comprehensive conversion, im also a fan of the slightly wider seating in the back - Im just struggling with the high top!

Vikings seem hard to find!
