Good afternoon everyone,
I’ve taken out my buddy seat from a 1980 Devon moonraker in order to measure up and build a new one.
Could someone tell me what this metal bracket/plate is for please as I’m debating whether to put it in the new one
Cheers all
Cookie

Hard to tell, does it swivel, if so could be for a table.

It’s this part I’m referring to sorry. I didn’t realise I’d included the upside down fridge exhaust pipe that was sat on top of it in the photo!
It’s fixed in place by the way.

Looks like it was for switches the way that it is recessed like that.

Re: What is this?
It's the control panel for an underfloor gas convector heater. Holes for thermostat and ignition button. Can't remember the name of the heater, even though I have one in Van Blanc. Mine needs a coat of Hammerite!

Re: What is this?
Many thanks everyone, especially Colinthefox! I think they didn’t bother with the heater in mine as there was a giant square hole where it should have been on the floor.
Cheers again

Re: What is this?
It was for a Riviera Deluxe heater. We had a working one in a van we once owned, and it was great. Effective, efficient, almost silent, in some respects better than a Propex. Required no power, except electronic ignition button (which we converted to 9V battery), as there's no fan - it's purely convection. When not in use, it's covered by a metal plate and then a square of carpet, so it's virtually invisible, and takes up no interior space. I don't know why they weren't more popular.

That's the one! And yes they are quiet, effective and not intrusive. But we can't afford to run it for long on Camping Gaz at UK prices!
