Beds, Seatbelts and Safety, going in circles

Post by Fun. »

Hi All

I know the topic has been done 1000 times however now that I'm close to having a van in paint I figured I would try and get some feedback / peace of mind before I make my final choices and start making orders.

My Options
--------------
Vanwurks, full width RnR with brickwerks 3 point belts and probably a kitchen pod of sorts
Full length interior with either 3/4 M1 Bed or possibly the Biddick 3/4 bed as they both come with 3 pointy belts built in

I know a few folk have done the m1 Caper beds, has anyone tried the Biddick?  I had a dig about and they have schematics for how they do their seatbelts: http://www.campervanbeds.com/uploads/41 ... itting.pdf

Any advice is appreciated, am getting closer to having fun in the sun.

Cheers

Fun.

Yeah have watched a lot of Lee's stuff, all very well done although he's never tackled the 3/4 bed and dual 3 point seatbelt (with full width interior) option to my knowledge.

I'd initially got it into my head I was 100% going down the Rusty Lee route but then seatbelts, kids, and storage / interiors came into the equation.  I don't intend on doing the self install of either the bed nor the seatbelts however consider it due diligence to try and gain as much understanding as possible.

I love the content on Combe Valley Campers, great stuff.

I'm currently exploring the world of upholstery and looking at colour swatches for doing door cards and possibly even RnR seat covers, I need to make a decision on the seats first though.
