Has anybody retrofitting this to their camper?

Beds are getting uncomfortable, and we have tried this in a new camper and seems to be very good

I have ordered one set to go in the high roof for my daughter as the mattress up there is pathetic.

I then got thinking about fitting to the lower bed as well.

I think I could take out the bottom 3 or 4 cm of foam from the bottom of the cushions and put the into the seat/seat back (then do something similar with the engine cover mattress).

The alternative is obviously new foam - I got as far as drawing up exactly the right shape foam to order them and then the supplier went quiet. Delivery of foam to me is a bit of a pain and I can't find a supplier out here, so if I can get the froli thing to work out would be a lot easier.

Anybody used them in an old camper?

I seem to be chatting to myself, but just in case anybody is listening... I fitted this to the top bed, and my daughter reports that it is much more comfortable.

One standard pack was enough to cover most of the top bed - easily enough for one person.

First I've heard of such a thing. I just double up on quilts to sleep on if I get uncomfortable.. at least at the moment anyway!

I will be experimenting with the lower bed today. The 30 odd year old foam is getting a little tired in ours...

It looks like they've increased the height of the 'ramp up' bit of the running track to allow extra clearance for the sliding bed part, so I'd be interested to see how this fits on an existing Westy, as the upper mattress is already pretty thin and that Froli system adds nearly 4cm in height.

The froli bit fits under the sliding section, but you have to take the 'mattress' (and I use that term completely incorrectly for the very thin but if foam!) bit off.
It definitely makes it more fiddly, but it's not the end of the world.

How do the supports stand up to being loaded for long periods? We use our upper bunk area a bit like an inside roof rack and so there's almost always a whole bunch of stuff sat up there - do they gradually lose some of their spring? Also do you find the ones at front edge get damaged where you climb up onto them?

We only put a thin topper from the bottom bed and the reflective screen covers up there.
They are quite soft, but I think it would take quite a lot of weight to bugger them up...

Ultimate goal is to try to put them into the seats under the foam, which means that my 10 year old would be sitting on them when we are on the move.
I have seen official advice against this, but it's not like we ever go anywhere for more than a few hours drive anyway. Unless we break down of course...
