Just been to LIDL who have packets of soft floor protection mats, could be ideal for existing flooring inside of camper or, I bought a packet for use elsewhere but thought worth highlighting here for others.

Bought these from Aldi last year. Excellent insulation and warming qualities. Even when bare foot.
Make sure fridge door is okay to open. I keep two spares for working under camper...they get a lot of use

I use a generic non Aldi version and they are great, even when winter camping in Norway. Only thing I found is that warm direct sunlight makes them expand and they flex up from the floor. No biggie, just something to note. 

I have something close to these as the floor in my camper , mine were bought as soft floor for a playground , and I took care of three of the "spare " ones . I had them in last winter , and they are soft and warm to bare feet , water proof and easy to take up and clean .
