Ply thickness

I am going to replace my interior later this year once I have stripped the old one out and the van is away for its restoration. I am planning on buying 15mm vohringer ply for the units, but I have a question regarding it’s strength for a top bunk bed.

I have two young children (4 and 1), and I would use one of the sheets to build a sliding bunk upstairs. My question is, if 15mm is thick enough. I’m sure it would be fine at this age, but at what stage/weight of person do you think it needs to be thicker?

15mm good quality ply will be plenty strong enough. I've slept on 12mm, whilst not entirely solid, it's no problem. My mate in his T4 who is fair heavier than me and taller, is always on 12mm. Kids will be safe! Just make sure the supported ledge on each side is reasonable- 2 or 3 cm ish
