Holdsworth Villa 3 Storage unit Lid Stays

Post by Piratepete »

Hi Guys
The lid on the storage unit to the right of the hob is nomally held open by two telescopic gas struts.

If yours have failed, like mine, you might be interested in this offering from Screwfix, 9267P at £3.99 each. I've fitted them and they work a treat, even using 3 of the existing 4 fixing holes.

If Screwfix have sold out, the item is mde by Hafele Pt 373.82.002 obainable elsewhere for a fiver each. The strength of these is 80N. It's possible that the 60N or 50N versions will do the job also (see Hafele website to calculate). Screwfix didn't offer a choice.

Cheers!
Pete
