Hi Guys
Had our first trip out over Christmas and only I (6' 1" and strong) could lift the roof. Should it be easy to push up?
Gas struts are original. Original supplier IGS can do but £353.87 each for white ones and £142.50ea for black ones(same tech spec)!!!!!!!! I don't think they want the business!
This leads me to SGS Engineering at £24.75each or regassing the old ones for £17.50ea.
Would you bother with regassing?
Cheers!
Pete

Thanks Itchyfeet.
I've just ordered them - The ones they specify for this roof. Eye to Eye 920mm. I measured the old ones at 926mm - hope that won't make any difference.
Also eye hole size is 10mm (their standard), mine is 8mm. I hope that won't matter either as I have no wish to remove the brackets to drill them out 10mm.
I couldn't tell them the gas pressure either, so hope they get it right.
What model were you sent?
Cheers!

they will fit I'm sure but I had to cut the old bolts out if I remember on the lower bracket because they were fitted before the bracket. probably same on upper if you don't remove it.
New bolts were slightly shorter so they just fitted
4 inch angle grinder job, horrible.

Hi Itchyfeet.
Thanks for your reply.
I've gone back to them and got the eyes changed to 8mm. They can't make them longer, but they reassure me that they'll fit.
I'm lucky. The bolts are short enough to remove without removing the brackets. Only a couple of them are rusty. may have to cut them off!
Cheers!
