How do I clear dried in mould stains from my pop top roof?

Post by Clydebuilt »

Hello,
Can anyone recommend a cleaning substance which will remove dried-in mould stains from the inside roof of my T3 pop-top camper?
I have tried a mould cleaner/remover aerosol spray but it didn't remove the stains from the inside of my pop-top roof. :?:
Any suggestions will be appreciated! :)

PS: I found out today that there will be a feature incl. photographs of the recent T3 Bus Meet in Bromsgrove Worcs. in (probably) the October issue of VW Camper & Commercial magazine. 8)
Thanks
Clydebuilt.

I used this on the carpet in my cupboard at the weekend and it did a very good job of reducing mold stains.

I use it on my seats too.

Got it in Savers but I think you can get it in Wilko etc...

T3 1984 1.9 wbx westy poptop, Hi, the best and only thing that works for me is a fairly strong milton fluid and water mixture, lots of elbow grease! Not the nicest task but looks great when done.Care must be taken not to get splashes on upholstery!

I usually try white vinegar first mixed with water, say 40/60. Shifts most things I've tried and is cheap, and doesn't require buying an aerosol or bottle packaging.

Cillit Bang Black Mould Remover & Magic Sponges

Worked really well for me, no dilution required or worrying about upholstery being bleached accidently.

Magic sponges do eventually break up so you need 3-4 to do the whole pop top roof.
