which camper conversion do I have?

Post by DrKombucha »

I recently bought this 1983 1.9L auto T25 and was just wondering if anyone knew who did the conversion? It was white when I bought it, but didnt seem to have any markings to show who made it. I cant seem to find any other mid tops either, so its left me a bit stumped. Can anyone help?

I can provide pictures of the interior if need be, apart from the panels the rest appears to be original.

Thanks in advance!

We really need the inside furniture, bed and camping equipment (hob, fridge etc) pictures
Roofs get changed sometimes.
But suffice to say it's not a Devon or Reimo roof

Any ideas anyone? Interested to know how it all works. There is a little gas heater under the floor also!

I have to admit I haven't seen a conversion like that.
Looks like a good home build based on a generic layout.

Home builds are often better than factory conversions.
As there is no constraint on budget, the materials used and finish are generally better.
As a regular visitor of VW shows I can honestly say that self build interiors are brilliant in conception and construction.

That is of course if it is indeed a self build. :D
Enjoy it and maybe one day you might see one similar
But I doubt it
:ok

Looks to be similar, don't know about the roof though - may well be a later addition.

I think the roof was made by a company called Sheldon. This company made two types low line & high top.70s and to mid 90s was active in conversions for T2 & T25s.I had a baywindow T2 fitted with a low line Sheldon roof by a company called Beckenham motor caravans Nr croydon surrey.
