T25 Komet Skylight

Hi there...

My skylight blew off on a windy day. I am trying to source another one and wondered if anyone knew of place where I can get one. I have tried justkampers and they tell me they have a Fammia skylight -- link here -- http://www.justkampers.com/04328b01-fia ... 4-0cm.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This will possibly involve some cutting of my roof which I am not too keen on doing. Has anyone had to fit a new skylight and if so is it a balls of a job?

Not sure if they're the same but my Autohomes Karisma
skylight blew off and I went to Chichester caravans
Sussex and they had identical one on shelf, for £55.
They said it was fairly common skylight model and was
easy to fit.. No cutting etc... Try your local camper an
Caravan centre.

Must be that time of year for them to let go, mine nearly did on our way to France broke one catch, now gaffer taped on till we get home

I fitted the Fiamma one.
The cutting is only minimal, it's more of a shave on opposite sides of the aperture, very simple.

The Fiamma is a good bit of kit too!

Don't forget to get some good sealant like Sikens.

Hi ,did you manage to find a skylight ?
O'learey motorhomes sell one to replace obsolete units which fit an aperture measuring 14" x 14".
I'm going to replace the skylight soon on my Autohomes Kameo soon.
They are located on A1174 between Beverley and Hull.

After the excitement of nearly losing the roof vent on the way to France and now being back home decided to get it fixed priced up a new one at £49 but thought I would have a go at fixing it myself.
the top cover was held in place by 4 plastic pins 2 of which had broken, these pins had been heat welded to hold the cover in place, so got a soldering iron and melted down through the middle of the pins then drilled out new mounting holes, and new holes in the handles screwed together with stainless screws washers and nuts also sealed the threads and holes, so job done, had a helper as well.Ordered up a 12v fan to fit the roof light as well.

Do these break when driving with it open?

I've never dared drive with it up, maybe my fears were not unfounded!!
