I have the std westy under slung tank from the first t25's, which has a 50mbar regulator on it. I want to run my propex and new hob off it which both need 30. Is it best to just fit a bulkhead regulator in the van after the 50 one, or do I need to replace the 50 one?
Thanks
Paul

Bulkhead sounds obvious to me - you will still need 50 for the fridge (if it is original) I should have thought.

As you say you can just fit another in the van, or a pricier option is to buy a regulator off gunzle.. He did used to to sell a direct replacement for the westy one.

I think you just need to change the regulator. As others have said the Westy 3-way fridge needs gas at the right pressure, or the burner inside changing. If you were doing it thoroughly I would have thought you'd also need to change the stove nozzles to suit the right pressure, otherwise I'm guessing you'll find it difficult to get a high heat setting. Unfortunately I can't advise where you'd get 30 mbar nozzles to suit a Westy stove.

Thanks guys. Just to clarify....I no longer have any of the original equipment. I've got a new smev hob and a propex and that's it. Fridge is electric only

The propped will run of 50 without a problem.
I've run mine on 50 since Steve at haute told me it'd be okay.
My SMEV also runs of 5p but that was the design pressure.
