it would seem that in the land of vw campers you really can polish a turd......a friend of a friend checked out a prototype for me in bodmin his report was ''I pulled up along side, it was well mopped, I left''....this is apparently a term of disparity among the classic mini hill climbing fraternity, so I move along.... found a nice looking trooper on gumtree with only 53k miles quick mot history check reveals the mileage hasn't increased since at least 2007 and it has been mot'd every year.

buyer beware....... no 5hit Sherlock

Am I surprised?
No.
Well mopped, I like that, it's kinda onomatopoeic.
So Volkswagens second attempt to make a decent van is in the frame.
There's a saying "third time lucky"

Oh wait..
Somebody drove off with that.
:D

Time to look at importing one from a desert state?

:rofl touché mr rev

I have also found that top end re build on a diesel translates as ''I forgot to change the cam belt''.....regular oil changes are usually done by the previous owner....and I have even had one seller who was using the ebay pics from when he bought 4yrs earlier..... I'm keeping my options open a lovely pop top t25/3 would be in my garage now.....there are some nice t2s and a severe lack of decent pop top t25s out there and I will get the best van I can for my budget.. I think the Gordon gecko types will be having sphincter spasms as the prices head downwards.....or maybe that's the tight yorkies driving the prices down

OK
If you see anything within a 30 mile radius of Wolverhampton I can kick tyres and suck air through my teeth like a pro.
I'll take a second opinion with me.
Then at least you'll know its passed our standard, and you know what that is.
Happy to help pal.
