Can anyone recommend a dehumidifier for camper

Post by Sin »

can anyone recommend a dehumidifier for campervan or some way to take out the moisture? ( I did just read about the salt in a bucket trick, so will be employing that tomorrow however I would like a more permanent solution).

Cheers

Sin

Get a Silica Gel one if possible as they can be heated to re-use them. Blue when dry , pinkish when damp.
Try BQ but not sure what sort they are. I think you'll need a lot.

Google Amazon with dehumidifier non electric. The one posted by slippy8v looks like the Unibond aero 360 retailing for £13.99 reduced from £19.99. Probably have to pay carriage but not necessarily.Check Asda or others first .

well spotted getunder yup its the Aero, Asda had them on offer think i paid £7.00 inc extra cartridge

read that you can use cat litter, silicon type in a tray or even poured in to an old sock and put on the dash,to dry the condensation on the windscreen

I have a very efficient domestic one and simply leave it in there for a day now and again. Does the job.

Your van is not a sealed container.
Therefore your humidifiers will be trying to remove the water from this planets atmosphere.

Thats true although I always found it reduced the mustiness you can get over winter. I do remove curtains and soft furnishings as it stops them following the same fate. The Propex (when it was working) also helped keep the interior nice and dry.

I don't use any of this stuff. I just drive mine regularly and there's no problem.
