Devon-things which dont seem right?

Post by clinning »

just thought i would post this as feels like im missing something or probably not, just the bed set up above. why does the front board slide when you never have to? (or do you) and how does everyone get up there as i tend to stand on the r&r bed (when upright) which prob aint too good for it.

cheers :)

Jed sells nice steps on his campervanculture site. They fit in the table bracket.

Sounds good but then if you use it to make a double that wouldn't work would it?

You do not move the front board. The back one just slides forwards and back. This is why there are semi circle locating things underneath. We only use it with the r and r bed down so it is way to hop up and all the weight is on the cross member.

Yeah we only slide the back one too, but why the option to move the front one? Must be some reason why it's not fixed down.

Yeh- know what you mean! I have a little folding sets of steps which helps - more so with getting down I have to say, than climbing up. I find it's quite a drop to get down even with the steps!
Having just had a week away and climbed up every night I feel like I am stretching my agility to the limit, :) especially as I avoid standing on the bed! I'm sure the Devon must have had a ladder.
All good fun though :D
