Drinking Water tank dripping from drain tap

Hi,

My drinking water tank is dripping from the drain tap. I have replaced the part of the drum tap that is removable but that made no difference. I was wondering if there is any way to replace the drain tap on a tank like this or if anyone has any solutions to try?

was it just the white head you replaced? Was there some kind of washer with it?

There was no washer, didn't look like there should be one, here is a picture of the part I replaced The part at the bottom just holds the tap in place and stops it unscrewing:
