Advice please guys and girls

Post by xpertbert »

I have purchased myself a khyam awning but I need your experience to help me getting the best way of fixing my awning to my camper. I have a high top camper with filled gutters :-( , I know what your thinking, what must be lurking under there lol. The problem I have is which fixing, c rail or j rail with figure of 8. C rail good sturdy fixing but how quick for releasing if you want to drive away. Or using the j rail system will it stay on, I know it's quick for releasing and driving off. Or is there any other good systems you use. Cheers me dears...

Hi, it's the j rail rail I keep swaying towards. But finding it hard to get one from somewhere. Also I read with strong winds they can flip off..

Pole and clamp every time. Takes up slack when awning rolled around the pole which allows for difference in parking position. No damage to gutter if rubber is used between clamp and gutter

We have used pole and clamp in some really stormy weather, ie Anglesey meet last year. Never had a problem with this.
