Any one have Rock and roll bed plans please

Post by garry247 »

Hi,

Does anyone have plans for building an 3/4 rock and roll bed and back raised engine cover box?

I want to build one this weekend and add some seatbelts so I can take the kids out the following week on holiday.

Any help will be much appreciated.

No plans but when I fitted a bluebird customs rock and roll bed I made a rear raised bed platform. The bluebird bed is made for a T2 which has a lower engine bulkhead.

Luckily the bed sat at the right height to use pieces of 4x2" for the frame and 18mm ply

I used 4x2 for the main fixed frame but made a removeable engine cover using 4x1" pieces and some angle brackets

No nails just self tappers (pre drilled).

I drew up my own exact plan, measured, measured and measured again then I took the sizes to B&Q and got them to cut everything to my sizes (you get so many free cuts with each purchase).

I had never ever built anything like it before (some may say you can tell  )

I have since lined it using cheap pound shop carpet tiles
