New Interior Pics

Post by 300CE »

Hi all, here are some pics of my new interior (before and after). The old units were stripped out and van was then waxoyled and insulated using a foil faced bubble substrate which will keep the van warm in the winter and cool in the summer - it also acts as a sound deadener. I also had a led strip light made and fitted above the hob/sink which is amazingly bright and also a new pull along roof bed made as well, i'll add photos of these a bit later. I wanted something that looks minimal and flush (to stop the missus and daughter from cluttering any space up with make up bags  ), but with enough room for a long weekend away.

New 240v socket in the kick board and a further 240v socket and 12v socket in the rear cupboard.

The flooring is an extra thick wood effect vinyl - i went for this as it is incredibly easy to wipe clean and feels really nice underfoot. The only thing that lets it down at the moment is the board underneath the rear seat, but this is something that i can put my hand to and another job for my to do list.

Looking really good mate.
Where did you get your upholstery done? I'm after something similar for my refurb.
Did you use a router or jigsaw to cut the hole for the cupboard?

Hi Bulldog, cheers for the comments! Unfortunately I didn't do it myself (i'm far too cack-handed for that sort of thing!). I had it done professionally by a chap called Simon at vwbusbits (http://www.vwbusbits.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) in Dorset. I see that you're in Bolton so is a bit to far for you to pop in, but drop him an email mate.

Hoping to go to Bromley as well as long as it doesn't clash with holidays. Will post some more pics hopefully next week. Can't wait to get camping when the weather is like this!

Any tips on how best to remove the old skylight, mine is totally gone and I've got a whole new unit. The old one is glued, puttied and painted into place. Any help would be much appreciated!!!
