A reasonably common thing in SA is the syncro fan housing to brake on the fingers due to fan weight and rough roads.

The top leg on my old 2.6 fan shroud had cracked like that. The the underbody dents and grit in the chassis suggested a fair bit of rough road driving.

Tighter than originally planned, combination of factors are responsible but its all fixed to the body so no relative movement as such, but the radiator might flex its mounts a little on the rough stuff.
I can recess the UJ into the plastic bush a little, I'd like to see 3mm clear but it may not be possible.
I'll bench press the winch later and see...

I need to work out more. Winch is a hefty lump when sat on one's chest...however the shaft now fits!
I forgot to put a counterbore in the plastic bush, so once thats done there will be a decent gap.

Good point! Rad is dry, but brackets are shoved up hard.
I was going to acheive some more clearance, used a powerfile to put a 5-6mm round notch in the channel, less than half depth.

New OEM spec gutter trims. Went on without too much faff but they were pre-cut a bit on the shy side, 8-10mm more would allow the corners pieces to be "fully engaged"
I had to reposition the first trim, stealing 5mm off one end to get the rear corner to cover the cut end...
Only one corner piece would sit on without assistance (I used bituminous mastic), the others are festooned thus...Image

New, more secure awning fixings. Better than M8 bolt heads as recommended by manufacturer...Image

I cut them from 75x5 flat, to get the 14mm width (I actually knocked them down to more like 13.8, the 14mm were a bit too tight)

GW plastic radiator boards. Well they are better than nothing but they don't fit very well, unless I am doing something wrong?
I had to snip out a chunk to clear the fan switch and the top part of that side curls up like a slice of bread left out in the sun.
Lacking enthusiasm right now, it all feels like a chore but the year marches on.Image

Agree on those radiator bits!  didn't seem to want to fit at all and just flap about - they are back in the box waiting for attempt 2
