While the tank is out I have removed and am replacing the break lines that are above the gearbox. The short flexi bikes that conect to the trailing arms will be replaced with braded flexi from ian holman as it will be fitted with his rear disk kit.Image

With the break lines fitted it is tank back in

The agg was sourced a while ago and had been given a fresh cam belt water pump the alt and mount has been changed for a non ac one. The crank position sencor has been swaped for a new one as the sheathing was split and exposing the wires. The jx plumbing was fitted but a new na diesle thermost return hose was used as the aux heat over run pump is being delited. A new spigot bearing has been fitted to the end of the crank shaft then the jx "pooh" plate fly wheel with new stretch bolts and fresh clutch. Mate the gearbox suddenly there is a lot more room in the garage
Excuse all the white dots on all the nuts and bolts but its a hospital job and its my way of knowing that I have tightened the nut or bolt.

Ohh and as a side note I am in need of a agg water pump pulley if any one has a spare one please get in touch

Sunday service. Turning done bright and early before things heat up again. Full overalls required, unless you like being burned by blue chips...

a couple of weeks ago I headed up to aidans for an inspection of my 2wd gear box (seperate to this project). I stopped at ian holmans who turned down the rear hubs to allow fitment of his rear disk kit which I collected and will fit in due course.
Several of us met up at the aidans workshop and had a loverly evening. I took delivery of a pair of dia's trailing arms
Last weekend after a clutch swap on Scott's syncro I persuaded ian and scott to give me a hand bolting the built up subframe in to the van which made very quick and light work with many hands
The fuel filler has been fitted and springs and shocks fitted.
The wolfy exhaust (facebook exhaust buider) has been fitted the quality looks amazing

Be interested to hear about this exhaust,
mostly what the sound is like.
The one on my AGG Syncro has two boxes,
and its way too loud, got to change it.
Starting by changing the box thats across the back,
to one that has some baffles instead of straight through.
The first box is where your flexi is,
more room there for a bigger box, maybe next?

Good job you doing though,
beautiful work, and thanks for documenting it.

'Twas good to see you Neil and the rest of the possee; looking good with Rich's van, shiney bits, what's not to like ? - that exhaust looks tidy, it will be interesting to see how it drives and what it sounds like
