you don't the gearbox or driveshafts from the golf, AGG is Mk3 engine, 1996 model year onwards
you'll need a loom, Andy at SyncroSport maybe able to help you with that

Any VAG engine loom conversion up to ~2005 is not a problem. I've done all sorts, including 1.9 TDi, PD, GTi, V6, 1.8t, even a W8 ! Plus a few oddball ones such as Porsche Boxter 2.5. Also Subaru, anything up to MY04 (but H6 best avoided as its A/T only).
