V12 socket on a Ziggy

Post by JamieQPR »

Hi there,

Should the V12 plug socket run off the leisure battery, or only when the EHU is active, or Is there a fuse that needs switching on? I've just got a European adapter for my V12 socket on the ziggy & it doesn't seem to work.

Thank you in advance.

I would have expected the 12v socket to be powered by the leisure battery. Have you tried it with the van on Electric hook up and is the water pump functioning? I notice you have four fuses on the panel so check all of them if you have not already done so.

Thanks mate. Haven't checked when it's been hooked up, but will today.

From what I can see, if the water pump, battery condition indicator and water level meter work then the 12V socket should work.  If it doesn't I would remove the securing screws and gently tilt it forward and see if it is connected to one of the fuses and wether theire was a voltage at the rear of the socket.

The the water pump, battery condition indicator do work, so will try out what you suggested. Thank you!
