Speedo Needle
Hi all, I've just changed my KPH speedo to MPH using a vinyl overlay. This involved removing the needle and the 2 small screws on the face. I've disturbed the spring behind the needle I think as it's now not moving, odometer still works. Could anyone advise what I need to do to get the spring tensioned again? Cheers.

Re: Speedo Needle
Did you mount the needle correctly? Long, long time since I last did one but there should be a mark before the stop around 6 o'clock where you point the needle when you put the needle on then you lift it over the stop which does the tensioning of the spring.
How did you do yours?

Re: Speedo Needle
I put it on just under the stop then lifted it over so I'm guessing I didn't give it enough of a twist. I'll have another crack at it today using the mark. Cheers for the reply, I'll report back when I've had another go.

No luck unfortunately. Mounted it on the spindle with it lined up with the mark and lifted it over the stop, it seemed to gently sink back on to the stop as it should do, reconnected and no joy. Replacement is the only solution I think, I must've damaged it taking it apart. :( Thanks for the help though.
